Sierra initially joined the health center as a contract provider in 2023 and came on board full-time when the health center moved to its new facility at the beginning of 2024.

Sierra Ellis, LCSW-BACS, is a dedicated Behavioral Health Social Worker. Sierra initially joined the health center as a contract provider in 2023 and came on board full-time when the health center moved to its new facility at the beginning of 2024.

Sierra's educational journey began at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2011. She further pursued her passion for social work at Grambling State University, obtaining her Master of Arts in Social Work in 2014. Currently, Sierra is on the path to achieving her Doctor of Social Work from the University of Kentucky, with a tentative graduation year of 2025.

As a Behavioral Health Social Worker, Sierra excels in handling a diverse range of mental health diagnoses. Her competence extends to working with children, teens, adults, and the elderly, offering support and guidance through challenges such as depression, trauma, addictions, anxiety, grief and more. Sierra's wealth of knowledge and dedication make her a valuable asset in the therapeutic space.

From Rayville, Louisiana, Sierra now resides Monroe with her loving family. As a mother of four children, she takes pride in their individual accomplishments. Alongside her children, she shares her home with their beloved pet dogs.

Beyond her professional and family life, Sierra is deeply engaged in community service. She serves on the board of directors at Family Promise (2020-present), making a positive impact on the lives of others. Additionally, Sierra is an active member of the Epsilon Omicron Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta (2020-present), contributing to the betterment of her community.

In her free time, Sierra finds joy in spending quality moments with her family and friends. Her love for travel and trying new experiences reflects her adventurous spirit. She embodies the values of compassion, dedication, and community involvement, making her a valuable asset to both the health center and the communities she serves.
